Lectio Divina: Lectio Divina is an ancient technique of scripture meditation. It invoves the slow - meditative reading of a selected portion of scripture - meditation upon a part of that scripture which seems to speak to you in a personal way - response to God in prayer - and silent listening for God's response to you. This form of prayer has been kept alive for almost the whole of Christian history - mostly in the monastic tradition.
